Trump completes a foreign deal a week after 'terminating' all foreign deals
A good lie is important on a golf course. And Trump lies just fine.
A multimillion-dollar expansion of Donald Trump’s Scottish golf resort is proceeding despite a promise just days ago by his attorneys that “no new foreign deals will be made whatsoever” by the president-elect’s businesses, in an effort to avoid conflicts of interest during his presidency.
Ooch. Haud yer wheesht and don’t be a wee clipe! Isnae count, you see, because … because. Oh, come on. He already had the golf course. And wasn’t this already in the works?
Trump’s attorney Sheri Dillon announced at his press conference last week that in order to avoid potential conflicts of interest, her client has “ordered that all pending deals be terminated.”
Ah, well. Dinnae fash yersel. Trump will surely explain that “pending” doesn’t mean a deal that was in the works but hasn’t been completed. It’s probably a Scottish thing.
