Giuliana Rancic Sidesteps Talk of Bizarre Mike Posner Grammys Interview (Audio)
Though her bizarre red carpet interview with singer Mike Posner at the Grammys left viewers baffled last night, Giuliana Rancic had nothing bad — or specific — to say about it this morning on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”
Instead, the “Fashion Police” co-host avoided snark altogether, keeping her comments on the matter as nice — and calorie-free — as possible.
“What was that all about?,” Seacrest asked Rancic.
“You know Ryan, I don’t think that would happen at the Globes,” Rancic replied. “And that’s what makes the Grammys kind of amazing.”

Posner appeared to make a point of being as weird as possible last night. Wearing makeup and an outfit reminiscent of “Batman” villain The Joker, he refused to directly communicate with individual hosts on camera. Instead, once cameras were rolling, Posner would whisper into the ear of artist-producer Blackbear, who would then relay messages on Posner’s behalf.
“He thinks you’re very beautiful and hopes you’re not married,” Blackbear told Rancic, who is indeed married to businessman Bill Rancic.
Was it an obvious put-on? Yes, as according to Rancic, Posner was actually very chatty before the camera started rolling. But she declined to joke about the act or the singer himself. Maybe she’s keeping her powder dry for the next episode of “Fashion Police.”

The same wasn’t true last night for rank and file Internet users however. Posner, who clocked a big hit in 2016 with “I Took a Pill in Ibiza,” set himself up for endless social media jokes about taking pills in Ibiza, coming back from Ibiza worse for the wear, having taken more than just pills in Ibiza and so on and so forth. Oh, and of course comparisons to Jared Leto’s version of The Joker in “Suicide Squad.”
