Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor Breakdown

The hype between what many people believe would be the greatest fight in the history of combat sports seems to grow ever so slightly as the days go on. Arguably two of the greatest fighters in their respective sports Floyd Mayweather (Boxing) and Conor McGregor (MMA) seem to be talking their way into what would be the biggest event for fight fans as two worlds collide if and when Boxing meets MMA in the ring.

This whole fight has been a huge publicity stunt but in the event it does get scheduled let's breakdown the possible outcomes that could happen during this potential fight:

The possibility of Conor McGregor pulling off a win is extremely low, however, due to the fact that Floyd Mayweather is an extremely defensive fighter one left hand from the Notorious one could put him on the ground without a doubt, we've seen it happen before time after time. Conor McGregor is known to prove his critics wrong when the odds are stacked against him, although he has never faced a fighter like Mayweather before, it is important to note he did KO the former UFC Feathwerweight champion Jose Aldo in 13 seconds. A man who had not suffered a loss in the octagon in 10 years.

One important thing to remember is the fact that Conor McGregor is a much bigger man than Floyd, he has height, reach, and has fought at 170 lbs in the UFC. Even then, realistically speaking it is easily safe to say Mayweather will no doubt dominate this fight, MMA fighters are used to throwing punches from a distance and from wide angles as well, one can only imagine how easily Mayweather will react to those punches.

At the end of the day this fight undoubtedly will go to Floyd Mayweather, I don't believe the average person realizes the amount of skill one man has as opposed to the other. The hype will continue and perhaps what excites the public the most about this bout will be the build up. It's currently in extremely early stages and there is so much more that would have to occur before this fight takes place.

At the end of the day no one comes out losing in the event this fight takes place, both Floyd as well as McGregor come out with possibly $100 million dollars each. The UFC will obviously be part of it and will have their cut and the fans don't have to live with the "what it" for the rest of their lives. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved and perhaps once this fight is over and done with, the UFC can go back to arranging fights according to rankings and not create MMA fighters into fighters they can no longer can control and pick their own fights.
