The president, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders have all used bogus arguments to justify separating children from their parents at the border. But as Oliver pointed out, “There is no law that suddenly required separating parents from their children. This was the result of a deliberate policy choice.”
