Kate Middleton’s baby photos of George, Charlotte and Louis all have one thing in common
It’s no secret that Kate Middleton is a keen photographer. Earlier this month she became a new patron for the Royal Photographic Society and visited a workshop for young people. It was set up as part of the society’s collaboration with Action for Children which seeks to support disadvantaged children from across the UK.
Over the years, the Duchess of Cambridge has also released the photographs she has taken of her children. Usually, around the time of their birthdays, she shares snaps of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in celebration and, of course, they’re always very sweet (Prince Louis’ birthday portrait had the world ‘awww’ing earlier this year).
But there’s something particularly interesting about the adorable photos that Kate has taken of her little ones. Eagle eyed fans have noticed that they all have one thing in common.
In almost every photograph that the Duchess has taken, the children appear to be wearing at least one hand-me-down item of clothing.

In Charlotte’s first birthday photos, she is wearing a pair of George’s shoes. She also wore her older brother’s jumper in one of the portraits of the princess and her little brother, Louis. The blue pullover was the very same one that George wore for the Queen’s 90th birthday photos in 2016.
In Louis’ first birthday pictures, he is also wearing one of George’s old jumpers.

In their Christmas 2018 family portrait, Louis also wore the same pair of shoes that George wore in Australia back in 2014.
Charlotte is once again sporting the blue jumper in the same photo.
Kate is known for recycling her own outfits, often re-wearing her coats, dresses and shoes – so it makes sense that she would ensure her children got the most wear out of their clothes, too.
