Hurricane Lorenzo is announced to be coming to the UK

Following the extreme weather to hit the UK this past month, from heatwaves to flooding, further extreme weather warnings have been issued.

It was reported over the weekend that Hurricane Lorenzo would be hitting the UK, with the tail of the storm set to reach the South West by the end of the week.

The hurricane, now 160 miles per hour, is reportedly the strongest hurricane on record this far north and east in the Atlantic region.

It has been reported however that it won’t be a hurricane when it arrives in the UK, with the Met Office releasing a statement.

‘You may have heard reports that #HurricaneLorenzo is heading towards the UK?’ they announced. ‘Well it won’t be a hurricane, but remnants of the storm may come our way – however, there is large model spread and so big uncertainties.’

Boris Johnson denies conflict of interest over Jennifer Arcuri relationship

Boris Johnson was reportedly referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct on Friday, after allegations of misconduct in public office. According to the Independent, a ‘Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport investigation is under way into a £100,000 grant made to a company run by Ms Arcuri’, a businesswoman who is reported to have had an intimate relationship with Boris Johnson.

Investigations into whether the Prime Minister should face a criminal investigation are currently underway.

According to a report by The Sunday Times, the American businesswoman ‘whose companies have been awarded a total of £126,000 in state funding’ told friends repeatedly that she had a close relationship with Boris Johnson.

In an interview on BBC1’s Andrew Marr Show, Boris denied a conflict of interest, insisting that everything was executed ‘with full propriety’. He then went on to state that in his position, he ‘expects a lot of shot and shell’.

Meghan Markle’s makes a touching pit-stop on tour

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making non-stop viral news on their royal tour of Africa, but it was Meghan Markle’s movements that really got people talking.

According to People, Prince Harry went on to Angola for royal engagements, but it was Meghan who stayed in Cape Town, South Africa, to add a touching tribute to the tour, paying her respects at the memorial of Uyinene Mrwetyana, a 19-year-old student who was allegedly raped and killed by a 42-year-old post office employee.

‘#Meghan made a secret trip to pay tribute to #Uyinene Mrwetyana whose brutal murder has outraged South Africa,’ royal commentator Emily Andrews reported. ‘The Duchess was so shocked by the torture, rape and murder of the beautiful student she made a top-secret pilgrimage to the post office where she was killed.’

‘Having closely followed the tragic story, it was a personal gesture [Meghan] wanted to make,’ a spokesperson told People.
