Wyll Stanway
Pleased we’ve managed to sign another goalkeeper to challenge Louis Gray because Wyll has notched up a very impressive nine clean sheets in 17 appearances so far this season, for North West Counties Football League Division One North side Holker Old Boys and also at Lancaster City in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division. He is the brother of Manchester City Women’s ace Georgia Stanway who also plays for England Lionesses, but aside from that I really hope he can push Louis Gray all the way because he does need a kick up the backside. Unlike a number of supporters on social media I wasn’t calling for Louis to go last week, but perhaps he does need a bit of time out to recharge his batteries so hopefully we will give Wyll some chances to shine.
