L&T Energy GreenTech has signed a long-term pact with Japan’s ITOCHU to supply 300000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia from Kandla on a take-or-pay basis. Inflation in Bangladesh is likely to reach 8.6 per cent in FY27 due to higher energy prices triggered by the Iran war, according to data analytics firm BMI. Inflation may remain above the Bangladesh Bank’s 6.5-per cent target set in its latest monetary policy, the Fitch Solutions company said. The central bank may keep the policy rate unchanged at 10 per cent in FY27 instead of cutting it, BMI said.
