8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Survivor’!” In the fifth episode, Nami and Yanu won the combined reward/immunity challenge, sending Siga to tribal council for the first time. Hunter, Tim and Q took part in a journey where they cemented a Final 6 deal, and then Hunter lost his vote when he failed to arrange 20 classic “Survivor” logos chronologically. At tribal council, Jem’s time came to an end when the power duo of Maria and Charlie decided to side with the guys (Ben and Tim) over the girls (Jem and Moriah). So how will tonight’s merge shake up the game? Let’s go!

8:02 p.m. – The blindside of Jem left Moriah in a tough spot on Siga because she was the only one left out of the decision and cast a vote against Ben that she had to explain. Luckily Ben very sweetly acknowledged it and told her that there are no hard feelings. Later, Tim touched base with her to express that he sees her as “valuable” in the tribe, but privately he still saw her at the bottom of their tribe.

8:05 p.m. – The next morning, all three tribes were greeted by a boat that announced the “drop your buff” signal of a looming merge. For Siga and Yanu, they took the boat to their new home at the Nami beach. The two players most worried about the merge were Hunter, realizing that he’s seen as a physical threat, and Moriah, who would need Siga to have her back. Hunter’s saving grace was the clue to the hidden immunity idol that he got from finding the Beware Advantage, but he learned that it was back at camp where everyone was hanging out and more players were on their way. Luckily, he was able to find the key at camp and then return to the box to retrieve the idol in complete secret just in time before the other two tribes arrived.

8:17 p.m. – Set on not exposing any cracks at Siga, Tim told Hunter (who he bonded and made an alliance with on their journey together) that they all voted unanimously against Jem. He knew that if he said that Moriah was left out of the vote that it would give them a chance to approach her as a crack. Meanwhile. Venus told Q that she was happy to have new people to work with and told him that she feels on the outs at Nami and will work with them. Q very quickly realized that there are a lot of cracks at Nami that he can expose. Q was wanting to continue the “Journey Six” alliance he agreed to with Tim and Hunter. He felt good about himself, Tevin, Tiffany and Hunter, but was less sure that Tim and Maria were in. When Q checked in with Maria, she was surprised that Tim had told Q that she’s Tim’s number one. Q picked up that she didn’t even know about the deal he made with Tim. When he got back to Tim, he admitted that he didn’t even mention it to her, but that was only a red flag for Q because it worried him that Tim is playing both sides and wants to keep his options open with a Siga alliance.

8:26 p.m. – The following day, Venus was eager to learn more about the Siga dynamic as well. In a pre-dawn conversation with Moriah and Tim she told them that she’d give them a Nami name if they’d give her a Siga name, but they didn’t want to say anything. After Tim left the conversation, Venus felt a personality connection to Moriah that she’d be willing to build upon. Moriah picked up that Venus is the outsider at Siga, but recognized how strong Venus can be socially and so she was concerned about that. She went to Charlie with her thoughts and they both agreed that she’s a potential threat.

8:30 p.m. – Tim eventually got around to talking to Maria privately to tell her about the “Journey Six” alliance. Maria said she’s “down for it,” but then privately questioned whether it will really work for her or just for Tim.

8:31 p.m. – After a conversation with Q, Moriah thought that he was throwing the toughest questions at her about the Siga dynamics and so she was worried about him. But Q went to Hunter with his own concerns about Moriah, comparing her to Aubry Bracco, because she seems smart.

8:34 p.m. – For the first challenge without tribal immunity, Jeff announced “Survivor limbo” and randomly divided them into two groups of six to compete in an obstacle course to earn their merge buff and meal as reward as well as immunity from the next vote. With 13 players, one player would randomly be left out and get to bet on a group for their chance to win alongside them.

8:41 p.m. – The groups were: Q, Hunter, Tevin, Ben, Kenzie and Tim with purple and Charlie, Soda, Moriah, Maria, Venus, and Liz with orange. Tiffany was the player with the odd rock and she placed her bet on purple to win so she would win or lose with them.

8:43 p.m. – After the first obstacle of a mud pit, orange was in a full player lead and moved on to the second stage first. Purple overtook orange in this sandbag haul stage and then extended their lead in the cargo net climb and drop and again in the boulder climb so that they arrived at the puzzle first. On the puzzle, purple finished their first section before orange made it to the section, but that was only one section ahead of their competition. Liz and Maria completed orange’s first section while Ben and Kenzie continued to work on purple’s second section, passing the baton to Soda and Moriah for their own second section. Tiffany began to get concerned from the sidelines as Soda and Moriah closed the gap with the purple team. In the final section of the puzzle and to clinch the win, Venus and Charlie were not able to work faster than Hunter and Q and so purple indeed earned the win that everyone, including Tiffany, had foretold as a foregone conclusion before the challenge even started. The result secured safety for their entire group, leaving Charlie, Moriah, Maria, Soda, Venus and Liz as the only options to be voted out next.

8:58 p.m. – Back at camp, the losing group was concerned with how the vote would shake out. Moriah noticed that the vulnerable players are evenly split, three from Siga and three from Nami. Her concern was making sure that her own name didn’t come up as the risk. At the reward feast, the three safe Yanu players realized that they were in a power position sitting next to two Siga and two Nami players. Ben called out that Yanu was in the middle with the power and Hunter revealed that he lost his vote on the journey. Tevin had earned a vote at his own journey so he would be able to balance the numbers back to even. What Yanu wanted from Ben/Tim and Hunter/Tevin was a name from each tribe that would be up for the elimination decision. Hunter and Tevin gave up Venus, but Ben and Tim continued to play coy and refused to give up a name under the story that they’re all very close. Tiffany read that as them not wanting to work with anyone other than Siga members. Eventually Tim was willing to say that Moriah is the one among them that “knows the game the best.” Tiffany said that Moriah’s knowledge of the game is a bigger threat than Venus. Ben and Tim continued to insist that they should all vote for Venus, but that only made Tiffany more inclined to take Moriah out now to break up Siga’s loyalty.

9:06 p.m. – When the whole tribe got back together, Tim confessed to Charlie the conversation that happened at the feast. Like Tim, Charlie didn’t want Moriah to go, but unlike Tim he realized that he couldn’t push too hard to save Moriah because it would raise red flags with everyone else. Hunter pulled Q for a chat and said that “Nami is not Nami strong,” naming all the way they can cut their tribe were person A hates person B and so on. That was his way of stressing to Q and by extension the Yanu players that they need to vote out a Siga player this time.

9:09 p.m. – In a conversation at the well between Liz, Venus, Tiffany and Q, Tiffany let Venus know that “if it’s not Mo, it’s you.” Venus knew that she could easily go into panic mode, but she decided to stay calm and attempt to switch the pitch to vote out Charlie instead of Moriah. She said “Mo isn’t a threat, but Charlie is.” Later, Venus talked to Soda and Kenzie and said that if the reason to go for Moriah is that she’s a superfan then that would put Soda on the target list next. She added that “all the men were on the feast” and the two options are now women. She said it’d “be stupid to vote out a girl” instead of the guy that is vulnerable. Soda said, “You’re not wrong about that,” but Kenzie was triggered by Venus trying to shake things up when it could have just been simple.

9:11 p.m. – After Kenzie told Q and Tevin what Venus was saying, it put Venus back on the target list and even Tevin was wanting her to go. Hunter tried to tell Q that they don’t need the Venus vote and to let her vote Charlie if she wants to, but urged the group to keep their sights set on taking out a Siga player.

9:18 p.m. – At Tribal Council, the players that had safety were relieved that they didn’t need to worry and the vulnerable players like Charlie knew that they just needed to make sure their own names weren’t being thrown around camp. Venus referred to the safe players as “the kings of the castle,” which perked Hunter and Tim up because it was another suggestion that she’s targeting the male players. But Hunter wasn’t shy about saying how close Siga is and that it’s imperative they break that up. That opened the door for Moriah to do what she could to save herself, saying for the first time that their vote against Jem “was not unanimous” and that she’s “on the damn bottom.” But Hunter’s reply was that Siga is so close that they keep that secret until now and Moriah said “the question really is up to Yanu” anyway. Q was disappointed that Moriah waited until this time to disclose that information instead of presenting it to him when they had a private conversation earlier. He stressed that she shouldn’t let other people “use you in this game.”

9:24 p.m. – After the votes were cast, except for Hunter who lost his, only Moriah exercised her option to use her Shot in the Dark in a sacrifice of her own vote. The scroll she chose, however, said “not safe” and so votes cast against her did count. Jeff read the votes: Venus, Moriah, Moriah, Moriah, Moriah, Moriah, Moriah. In the end, this was an unanimous vote and even the “Siga strong” players voted out their own and sent Moriah home.

NEXT TIME: Tiffany and Kenzie show signs that they may be willing to work against Q while Jeff reveals that “two people are going home.”
