The origin of the Fair dates back to the 17th century, when it was celebrated in honor of the patron saint of the city, San Bernabé, on June 11. At that time, the fair consisted of a market that was installed in the Plaza de Los Naranjos and where local products were traded, such as fruits, vegetables, wines and oils.
Over the time, the Fair was consolidated as one of the most important festivities in the city and lasted several days. Currently, the fair is held in mid-June and consists of numerous activities and attractions, such as booths, music, traditional dances, and fireworks, among others.

The Marbella Day Fair it is a party that takes place in the streets and squares of the city during the days of the fair. More specifically, it takes place in Parque de la Alameda and Avenida del Mar. The Marbella Night Fair is the most popular and crowded event of the Marbella Fair. It is held at the fairgrounds, which is located in the Arroyo Segundo area.
During the Night Fair numerous booths are installed in the fairgrounds. There are also attractions and games for all ages. In addition, the lights of the enclosure create a magical and festive atmosphere.
This year the fair takes place from 6th till 12th of June.
The celebrations will start on the 6th with the lighting of the Arch of the night venue. At 10:00 p.m., the singer and composer José Manuel Soto will offer the proclamation on the terraces of the Puerto Deportivo and, after the coronation act of the Queens, King, Miss Sympathy and Ladies and the Popular Queen, the evening will end with a session of fireworks.
