#Cavs Craig Porter Jr.’s incredible story will get a new chapter on Wednesday night. Sources tell @clevelanddotcom Porter will make his first career NBA start in place of Dean Wade who had been filling in for Donovan Mitchell. Wade is OUT, sources say.

More on this storyline
Ira Winderman: Donovan Mitchell (hamstring), Ty Jerome (ankle) and Isaac Okoro (knee) again out tonight for Cavaliers vs. Heat. Caris LeVert (knee) questionable. Dean Wade (ankle) doubtful. -via Twitter @IraHeatBeat / November 22, 2023
What sorts of improvements have you seen with Donovan Mitchell or Darius Garland? Jarrett Allen: Darius, I’ll say he’s been better scoring, finding his position. Last year was the first time playing with Donovan, so that kind of threw a wrench in the system for him. But now I feel like he’s finally finding his spot, finding where he needs to pass the ball. And for Donovan, he’s always been great. Feel like he bought into the system Day 1 and he’s been ready to play. This year not only he’s gonna score every time, but he’s making up more opportunities for everybody else. -via HoopsHype / November 20, 2023
Mitchell is still averaging a career high in points (29.2) and shots (21.6), though four of his 10 games thus far were without at least two other usual starters on the court. “I think to this point, pretty consistently, you can see more of a flow to our offense, more guys who can move off the ball and create advantages that way and then, you know, finish at the end of it with either paint attacks or catch and shoot,” Bickerstaff said. “It’s too early to say it’s done. It’s something that you have to consistently do and create the identity of — that’s who you are.” -via The Athletic / November 20, 2023
