Malik Monk unsure if he'll be back for first round of playoffs
Anthony Slater: Malik Monk gives an update on his MCL sprain. Feels like he’s close to getting on the court. Doesn’t know if a first round return (if Kings make it) is realistic goal. “I can’t tell you because I haven’t ran yet. Once I do, I could give you an answer.” pic.twitter.com/Pv5TvpAp27

Harrison Barnes looks ahead to tonight’s Play-In Game with the Warriors, having the familiarity with Golden State, the close games both teams have had when matching up, missing the impact of Malik Monk & what Jordi Fernandez will bring the Brooklyn Nets as head coach. pic.twitter.com/HpowQjkvcd – 2:49 PM

Malik Monk on how hard these past couple of weeks have been for him as he’s been out with an MCL sprain. Gives his thoughts on the Kings chances against the Warriors tonight, opportunity for payback and how close he might be to a return should Sacramento advance. pic.twitter.com/O12AtuvSbz – 2:34 PM

Ernst & Young just distributed our ballots for NBA awards. Votes are due at 6 p.m. ET Tuesday. Sixth Man of the Year is going to be interesting. I have Malik Monk, Naz Reid and Bogdan Bogdanovic on my short list at the moment. – 1:20 AM

Malik Monk will be out tomorrow for the Kings, as expected, per Mike Brown. Still only 2.5 weeks since MCL sprain. Keon Ellis has been starting. Davion Mitchell’s role has been elevated. Brown trimmed his rotation to eight recently.
Gary Payton II out for the Warriors. – 4:36 PM
