Washington converted the first two free throws and intentionally missed the third one, allowing the Mavs to win as there were only 2.5 seconds left for the OKC to try and score a basket from full-court. “I shouldn’t have fouled him,” Gilgeous-Alexander said in his post-game comments. “We talked about it all year, the little things that go into winning games… It sucks.” “If I had the movement back, I wouldn’t have fouled him,” he reiterated. “I just would make him miss the shot, but in basketball, you win some, you lose some. You make mistakes,” he noted gracefully. When asked if he could look at the position’s replay, the Canadian guard was clear. “I can’t look at it,” he said. “I don’t want to look at it.
