Nesmith’s 3 falls out. Pacers blow an 18-point third-quarter lead and drop Game 3 114-111. They trail 3-0 in the series.
Andrew Nembhard had 32 points and 9 assists, and Siakam and Turner had great stretches. Still not enough for the Pacers offensively. Game 4 Monday. – 11:07 PM

Rick Carlisle refusing to call a timeout after the missed shot is such an unbelievable blunder.
Pascal Siakam didn’t touch the basketball on the Pacers’ final two possessions either.
Unfortunate ending for Indiana. – 11:03 PM

It’s an 11-1 run over the last two minutes for Boston, including a terrific Jayson Tatum pass to Al Horford in the corner for a 3 and Jrue Holiday converting an and-one over Pascal Siakam, and now the Pacers trail by one with the ball with 38.9 seconds to go. – 10:57 PM

Jrue Holiday waltzes into the paint, throws a shoulder into Siakam, and gets the 3 point play with the lefty hook to take the lead. Unreal. – 10:56 PM

This is the second time the Pacers have had four players (Siakam, Turner, Nembhard and McConnell) score at least 20 in a playoff game.
The other: May 5, 1991, also vs. Boston (Miller, Person, Schrempf, Williams). – 10:53 PM

Mazzulla is bringing Tillman in for Holiday to get Holiday a breather. Siakam immediately boxes him out with ease to get putback and force a Boston timeout. – 10:44 PM

Wow. Now a half court trap forces a high post Toppin catch and TOV. Good transition defense by Holiday dismantling Siakam’s run to the rim. The #Pacers are falling apart vs. #Celtics‘ unpredictable def. looks. – 10:26 PM

Through nine-plus quarters in this series, Pascal Siakam is shooting 28-for-42 on 2-point shots, and Indiana is once again feasting inside the arc tonight – which is why the Pacers have a 4-point lead here early in the second quarter. – 9:19 PM

Pacers still have 9 legitimate NBA players to roll out even without Hali and Mathurin
– Nembhard
– Sheppard
– Nesmith
– Siakam
– Turner
– McConnell
– McDermott
– Toppin
– Jackson
And none of them are the top-10 pick they have on the bench
We got to focus more on who’s playing – 9:10 PM

That Tatum fadeaway on McConnell after the switch was a thing of beauty. He’s 6 for 10 and 15pts in the 1Q.
Siakam and Nesmith both have two fouls.
Celtics up 32-31. Both teams shooting well. Pacers scored 26 of 31 points in paint. – 9:08 PM

Jaylen Brown spent a lot of time complaining to Marc Davis on the way down the floor. After the Siakam layup, Joe Mazzulla called an emphatic timeout to spend time yelling at Marc Davis too. He spent some time doing so. Davis let them get it out of their system – 8:58 PM

Scott Agness: NBA’s L2M Report for Game 1 at Boston Two in correct calls. – 1:46 4Q: Missed defensive 3-seconds call on Turner – 1:01 4Q: Missed traveling call against Haliburton Correct no-call on Brown grasping Siakam during throw-in with 10s, then Tatum defending Haliburton’s final shot. -via x.com / May 22, 2024
Bobby Manning: Carlisle says when Siakam was in Toronto winning, he was a 3rd or 4th option and now he’s in a primary role. Praises his calming influence in chaotic game situations. -via Twitter @RealBobManning / May 21, 2024
Myles Turner on Pascal Siakam’s future: He’s a free agent this summer. We’re hoping that he signs back in Indiana. He’s someone that we’d love to have who can really help us going forward. I think it was a great move for us to get him. Kevin Pritchard was very adamant about trying to add more length, and he was able to get it done with a special player. I’ve really enjoyed playing with him in the frontcourt together. He’s someone who’s also going to help my game. He commands so much attention that I’m able to get loose for my threes. -via HoopsHype / May 21, 2024
