Rand Paul, the Republican presidential candidate and U.S. senator from Kentucky, said he doesn’t actually believe gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender workers should be fired for being who they are. But that’s not quite what he told students earlier this week, in comments that drew swift backlash from conservative and liberal members of the LGBT community.

US And Russia Try To Avoid Military Confrontation In Syrian Sky

The U.S. and Russia are establishing rules for their pilots flying over Syria to avoid military confrontation. The rules, which the Pentagon said are still being worked out, could include coordinating the use of Syrian airspace. But that kind of intelligence sharing, said rebels fighting the Islamic State group and President Bashar Assad’s regime in Aleppo, would give Russia the information it needs to more easily track and target them with airstrikes.

Oil And Gas Companies Support UN Climate Change Negotiations, But They're Not Ditching Fossil Fuels

Major oil and gas companies and coal mining giants this week expressed support for the global effort to confront climate change. But that doesn’t mean the energy firms will be keeping their fossil fuels in the ground to avoid harmful emissions. The public statements and CEO-signed letters largely reflect the companies’ interests in ramping up natural gas investments and smoothing competition among coal exporters, analysts say.

Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter appeared on “The View” Friday, where she talked about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and took on "The View" co-host Raven-Symoné, who has recently come under fire for saying she discriminates against people with “black”-sounding names. Coulter, who is no stranger to controversy herself, did not pass up the chance to defend herself and insult Raven-Symoné.

Daily Fantasy Sports: What Nevada Ban Means For Regulation And FanDuel, DraftKings' Business

FanDuel and DraftKings built billion-dollar empires by offering fans a way to wager on their favorite athletes with just a few key presses and mouse clicks.
