Dept. of Correction aims for body cameras to increase safety
The Department of Correction (DOC) is announcing more aims at increasing transparency to the public with State Correction Officers wearing body cameras.
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Department of Correction (DOC) is announcing efforts at increasing transparency with the public by wearing body cameras.
According to the DOC, this is a part of a pilot program, starting later in January with a full rollout expectation by the end of the year.
DOC officials say the cameras will reduce investigation times and make prisons safer for staff and inmates.
