Lindsay Public Schools placed on brief lockdown after threat secured

LINDSAY, Okla. (KFOR) - After a brief lockdown, Lindsay Public School officials posted, "the threat has been secured", according to its Facebook's page.
Lindsay Public School Facebook's page alerted parents earlier on Tuesday, "We are currently under a low security lock down with heavy police presence. For the safety of students and staff please do not check your student out at this time. Thank you for your understanding and we will update with more information as soon as we can."
Shortly after the alert was sent Facebook school officials provided the families with quick relief stating, "The threat has been secured. School will be released at regular time. Thank you for your patience during this time."
