How you can get paid $10,000 to watch Super Bowl LVIII
You're already planning on watching the game, and this company wants to pay you for it.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Whether you're tuning in to see the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Francisco 49ers or Taylor Swift, one company is willing to pay you $10,000 just to watch the Super Bowl.
Oddspedia, a betting affiliate website, says it will pay one person $10,000 for what they call a "dream job." That chosen fan will be tasked with watching the game and paying close attention to things like the outcome of the coin toss, the length of the National Anthem, and the color of Gatorade poured on the winning coach after the game.
"All the fun stuff," Dustin Saracini, the senior betting analyst at Oddspedia, said.
"So basically, the winning applicant will just be taking notes, collecting all these answers of the novelty bets, and reporting back to us. It's kind of really that simple — $10,000 to basically just pay attention to the Super Bowl and have some fun."
The job doesn't come with a game ticket, but the company said they'll advance the winner half the money if they want to head to Las Vegas to watch the game on the Strip. (Attending the game could cost you more than $10,000 — as of Monday afternoon, Seat Geek was reporting the average price for one ticket to be $12,082.)
Fans can apply for the position through Monday. Only one winner will be selected.
Super Bowl LVIII is set to kick off in Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 11.
