Three former LSU football players are going to Super Bowl 2024
The LSU Tigers will be represented in Super Bowl LVIII where the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to play on Sunday, Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The LSU Tigers will be represented in Super Bowl LVIII where the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to play on Sunday, Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.
San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price, Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Chiefs defensive tackle Neil Farrell Jr. are three former Tigers.
Davis-Price was a freshman on LSU's 2019 national championship season team. According to LSU, he rushed for almost 1750 yards and 15 touchdowns during his time in Baton Rouge.
Edwards-Helaire starred at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and helped lead LSU to their last national title in football. He rushed for over 2,100 yards and 23 touchdowns during his career at LSU.
Farrell played in over 50 games for the Tigers. During that time, he accumulated 144 total tackles and two forced fumbles.
These three Tigers will be headed to the big game along with a football player who went to school in Ascension Parish, Chiefs safety Justin Reid. He graduated from Dutchtown High School and played for the Chiefs in their win over the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
The Parish of Ascension praised Reid and his teammates on Facebook. They said, "Congratulations, Justin and the Kansas City Chiefs."
