Winter returns to Acadiana tonight, temperatures 'Spring' back next week
A strong cold front has moved through Acadiana, dropping temperatures into the 40s throughout the day. Strong northerly winds have impacted the area, making things feel even colder.
Winds will die down for tonight and temperatures will continue to fall. Clouds will hover around, but despite the clouds, temperatures will be able to fall into the lower 30s by morning. Most of Acadiana will likely see readings near the freezing mark by tomorrow morning.
A little more sunshine is expected tomorrow afternoon, thus temperatures will reach the mid-50s by the afternoon. A frost is likely Sunday night/Monday morning as winds calm, skies clear out, and readings reach mid-30s.
A sharp warming trend is expected throughout next week. With sunshine continuing, highs will reach the lower 60s Monday, lower 70s Tuesday, and mid-70s Wednesday and Thursday!
A weak front will move through the area on Thursday, but little rain is expected from it. We'll continue the nice weather through next weekend.
