Melville woman arrested after shooting at people working at a church
A Melville woman was arrested after stopping at a church, firing a gun at four people working there and driving away, authorities said.
MELVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- A Melville woman was arrested after stopping at a church, firing a gun at four people working there and driving away, authorities said.
Nichol J. Kilcrease, 39, of Melville, is charged with four counts of attempted second degree murder, three counts of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of resisting an officer, four counts of illegal use of weapons, four counts of discharging a weapon in firearm-free zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Melville Police, Kilcrease stopped in front of Zion Baptist Church, where four people were doing landscape work, started shooting at them, and then drove away. Authorities said no one was injured. Kilcrease was located and arrested about 35 minutes later. No motive for the shooting was released.
Bond details were not released.
