Five arrested, guns and drugs seized in Evangeline Parish drug bust
The suspects were identified as Ricky Chapman, Dustin Hamous, Alexis Brooke Fontenot and two juveniles.
EVANGELINE PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Five people were arrested and drugs and weapons were seized in a multi-agency drug raid in Evangeline Parish on March 18, authorities said.
The suspects were identified as Ricky Chapman, Dustin Hamous, Alexis Brooke Fontenot and two juveniles.
Narcotic agents with Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, Allen Parish SWAT, and Evangeline Parish Patrol Units executed a no-knock search warrant at a residence at1023 St. Julien Road, the residence of Chapman, officials said.
Based on the results of the search, Chapman was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines, simple possession of a suboxone strip, and 11 pills identified as Zolpidem Tartrate, a depressant used to treat insomnia. Also located was a meth smoking pipe and a digital scale. Chapman was also charged with possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and an AR-22 pistol and a 17-caliber rifle were seized.
Hamous was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines and possession of 7 Hydrocodone pills. Also seized was $719 in cash.
Bond details were not released.
Fontenot was released and will be charged with possession of two Clonazepam pills found in her vehicle with no prescription.
