Firefighters battle multiple vehicle fires at Dien’s Auto Salvage in Lafayette
A person driving on Johnston Street reported the fire, and initially, one vehicle was on fire. The fire spread to nearby vehicles, leading to a significant amount of damage.
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)-- Lafayette firefighters had to battle fires involving multiple vehicles at Dien’s Auto Salvage at 3:15 a.m., Thursday morning, according to the Lafayette Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire at 6157 Johnston Street, and when they arrived, they discovered five vehicles and a utility trailer parked next to each other in a parking lot, in flames.

The building did not sustain any damage, according to LFD. Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
