Former Kaplan Police Chief arrested
Boyd Adams was arrested Wednesday on multiples charges, including impersonation of a police officer.
KAPLAN, La. (KLFY) – Boyd Adams was arrested Wednesday on multiples charges, including impersonation of a police officer.
According to Kaplan Police, Boyd Adams was arrested Wednesday morning and booked into the Kaplan jail. Current Kaplan Police Chief Josh Hardy says Adams faces charges of public intimidation and retaliation, filing a false police report, false impersonation of a police officer and two counts of threatening a public official.
Back in 2017, Adams was charged with malfeasance in office after detectives determined he used nearly $7,000 of Kaplan Police Department funds for personal use.
