Pedestrian, drivers injured in multi-vehicle wreck northeast of Topeka, KHP says
GRANTVILLE (KSNT) - Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash earlier this morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that at 9:41 a.m. a Ford F-150 and a Saturn S Series were traveling west on Highway 24 near the intersection with Barton Rd. when the driver of the Ford lost control and struck the Saturn which went off the road to the left and into the center median.
The Saturn overturned on its side and hit a Dodge Challenger which had slid off the road and was resting in the center media before the collision between the Saturn and the Ford. The Ford continued traveling west on the highway before going off the road into the north ditch and overturning multiple times.
Three people were inside the Ford at the time of the crash but only the driver reported minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The driver of the Saturn was also reported to have minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. A third injury occurred when a pedestrian was hit during the crash while checking on the Dodge in the median.
