Roads still icy and dangerous in Kansas after winter storm
Roads across parts of Kansas are still icy and snow-packed following a winter storm.
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Roads across parts of Kansas are still icy and snow-packed following a winter storm.
Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Tod Hileman says traffic is heavy, and the roads are still dangerous. The patrol has responded to multiple slide-offs and crashes.
In southwest Kansas, Kansas Department of Transportation crews are still working hard to clear the roads. KDOT is urging motorists to slow down and give plows room to work.
On Monday, a section of Interstate 70 was closed due to conditions from the storm. It has since reopened.
