KJ Adams will return to KU for senior year
LAWRENCE (KSNT) - KU big man KJ Adams isn't going anywhere.
The 6-foot-7 forward seemingly indicated plans to return to Lawrence for his senior campaign with a social media post on Tuesday.
"Never was leaving. #rockchalk," Adams said in a caption on social media, attached to four photos of him on the court with the Jayhawks.
The informal announcement comes after Adams told reporters he was uncertain of his plans for the future after KU's round of 32 loss to Gonzaga.
Adams has played in 107 games for KU, over three seasons. In 2023-24 he averaged 12.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
The Austin, Texas native scored 20 points in back-to-back games for the first time in his collegiate career when he notched 22 against Cincinnati in the Big 12 tournament and followed it up with 20 in KU's NCAA win against Samford.
Adams appeared in all 34 games for KU in 2023-24, starting 32 of them.
