Travis Early College High School classes canceled Thursday after 'incident' on campus

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Classes were canceled Thursday morning for Travis Early College High School because of an "incident" that happened on campus.
Austin-Travis County EMS said one person died at the scene. The call came in at 7:41 a.m.
In a social media thread, the Austin Independent School District said the campus was safe and there was no danger to students or staff.
According to AISD police, a girl between the ages of 15 and 20 was found near the rear end of the campus. The manner of death remained under investigation, according to officials.
According to officials, an AISD police officer was flagged down by two staff members when the body was discovered.
AISD police said classes were canceled due to the scene being active.
AISD said students who were already on buses returned home. For students already on campus, the district said it coordinated transportation back home.
