Stony Point's Moseley a McDonald's All-American Finalist
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The premier showcase of high school basketball is the McDonald's All-American Game. Some of the best players around the country compete and for the first time in history, a Round Rock ISD player is a finalist for the boys roster.
Stony Point's Josiah Moseley is one of the 48 finalists for the All-American rosters. The 24 on the final roster will be announced Tuesday. For Moseley to make it this far, he knows how special it is.
"I feel like it means a lot because I feel like Round Rock is slept on," said Moseley. "A lot of people think Dallas, Houston are the main places for athletes."
Moseley is the highest ranked player in the state of Texas, according to 247 Sports. The 61st overall player in the class of 2024 is committed to Villanova.
The power forward has led Stony Point to a 25-1 record as the second-ranked team in Class 6A in Texas. In the middle of district play, Moseley has his eyes on a memorable season with the Tigers.
"It's my senior season so I feel like state is kind of the main goal. Our coach emphasizes how only one team ends their season on a win and we kind of want to be that team."
