AUSTIN (KXAN) — Delta Air Lines is adding nonstop flights between Austin and Augusta, Georgia, for golf fans to easily attend the 2024 Masters Tournament.
The outbound flight will leave AUS at 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, landing in Augusta at 2:35 p.m. local time.
A return flight leaves August at 1:59 p.m. on Monday, April 15, and arrives in Austin at 3:59 p.m. Tickets are already on sale.
Austin is just one of several cities to get nonstop service during the tournament, with Delta citing high passenger demand for nonstop service.
It's not the first time that an airline has added extra routes from AUS for a sporting event. Delta offered nonstop service to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day, and United offered flights to Tuscaloosa in September for the UT-Alabama football game.
