Austin to receive $1M climate pollution reduction grant
The City of Austin is expected to receive a $1 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant aimed to help develop climate action strategies to benefit the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metropolitan statistical area.
AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Monday, the City of Austin is expected to receive a $1 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant aimed to help develop climate action strategies to benefit the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metro area.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the grant will be presented at Austin City Hall beginning at 9 a.m.
The EPA Regional Administrator Dr. Earthea Nance, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, Rep. Lloyd Doggett, Rep. Greg Casar and Austin Councilmember Paige Ellis are expected to be present.
