AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin’s newest hospital has welcomed its newest addition to the world.
Texas Children's Hospital North Austin said the first baby born at the hospital was delivered on Monday.
The little girl named Evie was delivered at 12:40 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, the hospital said.
Evie and her mother, Ellen, are doing well and resting in the hospital’s Mother Baby Unit, according to Tuesday’s announcement.
Texas Children’s Hospital recently opened the facility in the Presidio neighborhood at 9835 North Lake Creek Parkway.
