APD: Situation resolved, no threat to public after report of barricaded subject
There is no longer a threat to the public after a report of a barricaded subject in east Austin, the Austin Police Department said.
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- There is no longer a threat to the public after a report of a barricaded subject in east Austin, the Austin Police Department said.
The heavy police presence was reported on APD's social media around 8 p.m. in the 6200 block of Haney Drive. Shortly before 8:30 p.m., police posted an update saying the situation was "resolved peacefully," and there was no longer a barricaded subject.
APD said officers were "vacating the area." No other details were available Monday.
