High school football rankings Week 4, 2023: Bay Area News Group Top 25
San Ramon Valley moves up after opening season with three solid road wins. Three new teams enter this week's Top 25.
The expectations were high for San Ramon Valley this season, given that numerous key players returned from last season’s team that reached a state championship game, including quarterback Luke Baker.
So far, the Wolves have topped the hype.
They enter their home showdown on Friday night against McClymonds having opened the season with wins on the road over three solid opponents, all by double digits.
With victories over St. Ignatius, Acalanes and Elk Grove, SRV moved up one spot in this week’s Bay Area News Group rankings, from No. 4 to No. 3.
Valley Christian (now No. 5) and McClymonds (now No. 6) also moved up.
Three new teams entered the Top 25: No. 22 Menlo School, No. 23 Hillsdale and No. 25 Las Lomas.
