Westbound lanes of Bay Bridge closed as protestors call for Gaza ceasefire
A protest on the Bay Bridge forced westbound lane closures on the Bay Bridge on Thursday morning.
SAN FRANCISCO — All westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge heading into San Francisco from Oakland were closed Thursday morning as protestors called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management called the event a “civic demonstration.” The protestors were stationed on the lanes before Treasure Island.

As of 8:05 a.m., there was no word as to when the lanes would reopen. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that officers were at the scene.
