Passerbys attempted to intervene.
Two men were spotted fighting on a busy central London road with machetes after one attempted to use his car as a battering ram.
Onlookers filmed the white car moving around Edgware Road trying to knock over two men with machetes.
After unsuccessfully knocking over the men, the machete-wielding pedestrians began attacking the car in an attempt to reach the driver.
Passerbys attempted to intervene, but were shoved back, before one of the men began swinging at them.
Met Police have been contacted for further clarification on the matter.
Multiple instances of machete-related crime have been reported in recent months – just weeks ago, a man carrying one was arrested outside of a tube station.
Witnesses said police arrived ‘very quickly’ after the alarm was raised near Clapham North station in south London to a man carrying the weapon.
In February, a Co-op store in London was raided by a masked gang who were wielding a massive machete.
Three assailants, all dressed in black with hooded tops and face coverings were seen on CCTV aggressively storming the supermarket where they threatened staff.
Meanwhile, one of the robbers wielded an enormous machete as he stood in the aisle pointing the blade towards someone.
