Coal miner Stanmore Coal has reported a fall in production during the three months to September, despite reaching a record run-of-mine (RoM) production at an annualised rate, with the start of production at its Isaac Plains East operation driving the growth. RoM production decreased by 9% on the previous quarter, to 498 000 t, following a 16-day planned shutdown of the coal handling and preparation plant. However, with the start of Isaac Plains East in early August, Stanmore achieved an annualised run rate of 2.7-million tonnes.
