Jay Leno announces Columbus performance in September
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The longtime host of NBC's The Tonight Show is coming to Columbus for a single night's performance.
Stand-up comedian and acclaimed talk show host Jay Leno will perform at Ohio State University's Mershon Auditorium on Friday, Sept 13. Tickets for the performance go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
For two decades, Leno dominated late-night television. "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" was at the top of ratings every year he was host, besides his first two years with the show. His number one show was briefly taken over by Conan O'Brien, before Leno reprised the role from 2010 to 2014. Now, Jimmy Fallon hosts the late-night talk show.
Leno performs more than 100 stand-up shows annually across the country and internationally, according to a news release announcing the performance.
The talk show host has received multiple high honors, including Emmy, People's Choice and TV Guide awards.
