FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday Evening,
It has been a crisp May day with scattered clouds and a few isolated spotty showers mainly in the east today. These showers will taper quickly this evening as skies clear. Expect clearing tonight for a while as winds will relax, and temps fall to the upper 40s, with clouds returning toward daybreak.
On Saturday a quick moving cold front will drop through the area in the morning, with a chance of rain & storms in the morning. Behind the front, we will have a breezy and seasonally cool day with a few spotty showers or rumbles possible in the afternoon with highs in the middle 60s. Skies will clear Saturday night, with lows dropping into the middle to upper 40s.
Expect tons of sunshine for Mother's Day Sunday with highs climbing back into the lower 70s, about normal for this time of the year. Monday will start off dry with sunshine, and temps climbing back into the upper 70s, before a few evening pop-ups form.
Better chances of rain will return for Tuesday as a cold front approaches the area, with showers and storms likely with highs in the upper 60s. The front will clear to our southeast for Wednesday and give us clearing skies and highs near normal in the lower 70s.
We will see a few pop-ups late day on Thursday with a mild day and highs in the upper 70s. Rain and rumbles will ramp up with our next frontal system to our west on Friday with highs in the lower 70s on Friday.
