Proctor out of all the signings looks really commited. He’s obviously way past his prime.

We are not the team we were last season first half was OK and then we limped to win. I don’t know why we are playing like this when we have the same spine as last year. Keys missed 6 points when he would have nailed those kicks last year.

Sorry Mrs B but you are mistaken. Wishing is not the same as hoping. I would have expected you to know that. Still let’s not accuracy get in the way of point scoring.

A player who got unwarranted stick last year, he's a good solid consistant player who's always full of energy and effort. I hope he gets at least another year with us.

Is this the age group you reckon has some real standouts?
Would like to see the team against better opposition to get more of an idea of their quality.

It could really happen
Fifth round we are home vs Dewsbury (very winnable)
Then a good chance we could draw winners of York vs Newcastle in the Semi's
I'd say we would be favourites to get to the final assuming we dodge Bradford \ Fax \ Batley in the semi final draw

Luther: The Fallen Sun
Where to start with this!
I loved the BBC Luther series, dark, gritty, well written and brilliantly acted.
This is almost the antithesis, despite Idris Elba´s best efforts to make the best of a dreadful script and the full force of the BBC special effects department. To enjoy it you will need to suspend any rational thought or knowledge of the real world, forget some massive plot holes, ignore continuity errors, and try to forget that this was a cheeky ´test reel´ for Elba´s 007 aspirations. Good thoughtful post DM. If there is one thing supporting the Dons over the years has taught us its not to get carried away, I do not expect us to finish at the summit of League 1, when you look at Dewsburys scorelines they have been in most cases emphatic where ours have been problematic, winning but last minute dot com and the inability of putting the opposition to bed. The coach has yet to put out his settled strongest 17 and when he can lets see see what we are made of... Читать дальше...

I know everything can happen, but i see absolutely no chance of us winning this, in fact I can only see an easy Rovers win, they have better players and desire.
If Hoy is fit, got to try him at 6.If not I'd play Carlos there, no ideal, but him at 6 and Wynne at centre, with Mitch on the wing would make us stronger defensively.
Balmforth at 6 (where ge played for the reserves) is also an option.

I’m sure Hoy’s played against plenty of players who can kick a ball dead high & hope for the best.

As for them calling us fickle. Right above the thread about us is one entitled 'cunningham mk 2" discussing whether wellens is up to the job. It was started shortly after they became WORLD champions! But yeah, we're the fickle ones. I'll guarantee saints would not get a 9k average if they ever experience a season like we had to last year(not that they probably ever will).

Gone under the radar a bit this season with the likes of Vaughan, Dufty and Williams etc getting the praise however what a great bit of recruitment this has turned out to be. He was brilliant yesterday. You can see him tearing it up in the NRL in a few years time. For a club that’s been criticised and rightly so for some of the signings in the past, it’s only right we give credit where it’s due. What were Wigan thinking letting him leave?

Might as well have one dedicated.

Hope you are right but he could have hung around and made life difficult. Smith has clearly fallen out with him.
For 2024, I don’t have any clue who to try and sign from the NRL and whether we can get better that what we have. The only one who must go for me is Fusitua.
He has talent but is too slow and when we gave away the soft try v. Catalan he was stood close by waiting for the next carry and literally stood like a statue when Martin lost the ball and did nothing to stop the try... Читать дальше...
