I definitely think personal bias plays in to it, Lowes should have been above Plange in my ranking but I really disliked him, whereas I thought Plange seemed like a decent guy who was handed a hospital pass taking over that team in mid season.

The final all day long. A bit of positivity after the last couple of years which have been dire.
More broadly it’s interesting to think about whether there is actually a path to SL for Broncos now and if we got there what would we do? One assumes if we didn’t go full time we’d come straight back down getting beaten every week and seeing our crowds shrink but we have a number of key players who now have proper other jobs so wouldn’t go FT so we’d have to bin them which would be challenging. That’s up there as one of the most frustrating games I’ve seen us play for some time.

Discipline was an absolute joke from start to finish. Ball retention was also extremely poor. We allowed Widnes to piggyback themselves up the pitch time and time again through our inability to compete the fundamental basics of the game.

Agree about TS.
Even though we won the CC with Price, I still have nightmares about his style of play. There were only 3 or 4 matches where I could say ' I enjoyed that'. The semi against Hull was one and the pre season match against Brisbane (?) was another.
Seemed simply bereft of ideas.

Anderson was a complete disaster, as was Lowes.
I was suprised it went so badly for the latter, but clearly not up to the job of head coach. It just emphasizes how good TS was for us. Читать дальше...

Given the number of home games we have left we may have a bit of a sniff now. Some hot games at Wimblèdon might sort out a few of our opponents who won't be used to the travel. A couple of teams who turned up there in late summer last year seemed to wilt.
