I know there's some high quality individuals at the top end of SL but watching that game makes me wonder how some English players go over there and thrive. Also makes me wonder how England even compete at all with the Southern Hemisphere nations. Looks a completely different pace and intensity. The difference in ruck speed is incredible.

Saints made many breaks than we did, and the score could have been far wider. The squad that DP together wasn't good enough, we need to fix the deficiencies and move forward. Hardly an unexpected result, but watching the NRL GF this morning, the quality of SL is now so, so poor in comparison.

Game no.5, the decider, 2 apiece but we all know Rovers won the one that mattered so far.
Can't see there being any changes to the squad bare a miracle recovery from Havard and even then I'd be loathe to risk him with a dodgy hamstring.
Personally I think Peet needs to show a bit more faith in Mago and Hill in a big game, minimal minutes just heaps pressure on Ellis and Dupree.

Madness the Giants prefer Milner to O'Brien. Strong rumours he's going to Fax which would be gutting as he's easily best Hooker in division. Be interesting though as Fax don't have biggest of squads (they were very very lucky with injuries this year) that would be a lot of their budget in one position.

Be typical of Bulls though for fax to get O'Brien and we end up with Hallas. God I hope that rumours not true.

Really wanted Brisbane to win, thought they were going to properly open up at one point when Mam and Walsh were running riot. Then Cleary just showed he’s possibly one of the greatest 7’s of all time and took the game by the scruff of the neck. Pleasure to watch.

As you’ve said many times Duckie, he needs a pack around him doing the business, which for the last 2/3rds of the season he hasn’t had.

My one criticism is he tends to run the ball too much when we are clearly underperforming, I can see it almost as a barometer of the team performance how much Williams feels he must run the ball.

Several times against Saints he had the ball in a bit of space and there just weren’t the passing options, line runners available to him. We need people in movement when we have the ball... Читать дальше...

Adam O'Brien released by Giants. Not sure if he would join a part time Championship club but if so I hope we've at least tried for him. I know he has spent a bit of time on loan at Halifax but he deserves to be playing for a team in the top half of the Championship if not SL.
