Southern Charm: Naomie Olindo Opens Up For the First Time Since Breakup
Southern Charm alum Naomie Olindo is opening up about her breakup from Metul Shah less than a month after the pair had split. Rumors had been circulating for a few days after fans noticed she had returned to Charleston without her boyfriend. Naomie then confirmed she and Metul had gone their separate ways after more than three years together. She later addressed the breakup on her Instagram but didn't go into it too much with her followers.
During Monday's episode of Sarah Frick’s Are You For Real? podcast, the 28-year-old opened up about her recent breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Metul. "This is the first time in my life that I haven’t known exactly what my next step is. Like, what is my one-year plan? What’s my three year, what’s my five year [plan], because I just went through a breakup," Naomie, who left the show after season 6, admitted. "I was supposed to be moving, and now I’m back here. So my plans have changed, and I have no idea honestly what I’m doing or when or why." While Naomie may not know what her next step is right now, she is hoping "maybe next month" she will have her life more figured out. Right now, she is "trying to stay true to myself and figure it out."
The former reality star also added that she is in a "pivotal moment" in her life, telling the host and the listeners that it’s "okay not to know what’s next as long as you’re enjoying yourself and loving the people around you." When the host asked Naomie if she's had any "are you for real?" moments recently, she said she did, but wasn't ready to get into it. "I mean, yeah. Recently I had one of those, but we don’t have to get into that," she stated. After it the rumor mill began about a breakup between Naomie and Metul, fans found out the reasoning behind the split was due to an infidelity on his part. Metul was allegedly seeing an ex-girlfriend less than a month after he and Naomie moved to New York City together. She seemingly confirmed the rumors after she shared an Instagram Story admitting she was "betrayed" by someone.
Naomie may have lost the person she thought was the love of her life, but she is now moving towards a new, better chapter of life. Right now, Naomie may not be in the best headspace, but soon she will find what she is looking for. Maybe she will reunite with her Southern Charm boyfriend, Craig.
