My Hero Academia's Bakugo Has Never Been Cooler in Gender-Flipped Cosplay
Warning! Spoilers for My Hero Academia below
Katsuki Bakugo gets a stunning gender-flipped cosplay, which shows the hero known as Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight in action. On her Instagram page, cosplayer Cosplay Madam J shared her take on the My Hero Academia antagonist, offering a new version of the character while bringing the best elements from Bakugo's hero costume to life.
Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya are two central characters in My Hero Academia, as their childhood rivalry evolved into something bigger after both were accepted as students at U.A. While the series follows Midoriya's transformation into a powerful hero after All-Might shares his One For All Quirk with him, Bakugo plays a key role as his adversary. His Quirk is called Explosion, which turns his sweat into expolosive blasts which can be used as an offensive weapon, for increased mobility, and more. Bakugo would later take on the hero name, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight.
On her Instagram account, Cosplay Madam J shared her take on Katsuki Bakugo's heroic costume, as the gender-flipped cosplay brings the incredible look to life. The cosplay features the key elements from Bakugo's hero costume, including an orange X marked across the chest, metal neck brace, a belt with grendades, black and orange spikes on the back of her head, and silver knee pads. Cosplay Madam J's Bakugo cosplay features the characters spikey blonde hair - with an added mask to keep people safe in the real world. The ensemble is capped off with Bakugo's grenade-shaped gauntlets, which look in the cosplay.
What makes Madam J Cosplay's gender-flipped take on Katsuki Bakugo so awesome is that it tries something a little different from the original look. Using a crop-top instead of a longer shirt, makes the cosplay immediately stand out. As dose the leather boots with many straps, which compliment the look and make it stand out even more.
Madam J Cosplay's cosplay of Bakugo is creative, retains key elements of the hero's costume, but tries to do something new with it at the same time. If My Hero Academia ever decides to release a story featuring a female version of the character, they need to look no further than Madam J Cosplay's Katsuki Bakugo cosplay for inspiration on a design. She did a superb job bringing the look the life.
