And as you say about shopping centres, I am massively, massively surprised that the Christmas markets we have over here have not been targeted as there are thousands of people, with little security, in a confined space.

Well, if the first 30 mins of the opening game against the NZ Baa-Baas is anything to go by, it is going to be a long and painful tour. Love the Lions but the problem is that in the era of professionalism and a sport that is so reliant on partnerships and teams making constant split-second decisions it is almost impossible for them to be competitive.
Still on my bucket list of sporting events to go on mind.
Well a win is a win but this really highlights how ludicrous modern tours have become. No time for the team to gel before leaving as the season is still ongoing then a game so soon on arrival. I know that modern sports are completely in thrall to money but something will have to give or the tours will become completely one-sided.

Good call Alb. My hazy recollection of the strand was the terraces between the Kop and the Tilton. A pal of mine swears I even had the word wrong and that it was called the stand not the strand.

We've all booked Graz and the trains are top notch over there so even if it ain't in Graz it's not a problem anyway as BCFC are flying back from Graz so the match on Saturday won't be very far away.
