What good is asking questions of our transfer policy before the window is shut though? I can't see the logic in it myself.

That's the one time I could genuinely say I was totally ITK about a player. A bloke I know played with his brother and told me the whole story of what happened the following season. Remember we started the following season with about half the first team out injured and McSheffrey was suddenly rubbish? McSheffrey had told Bruce he needed treatment for a long term injury to his from memory, thigh and Bruce was so short of players he ignored it and made McSheffrey play. Honestly Steve looking back, how good was McSheffrey at the beginning? He was trying things I hadn't seen at Blues in years.
Those two contrasting goals against West Brom spring to mind, a free kick from an outrageous distance and a deft chip with his weak foot.
He looked nailed on to have a fantastic career in the Prem, such a shame it fell flat for him.
