Academy spending also doesn't contribute at all to your FFP limit. It's purely to support this desperate gamble by King.

Is there a way to stop the Academy change?
Is there a way in which the Blues Trust could finally be useful, by saving the academy? Fans are never going to be able to get a consortium together to buy the club outright but perhaps they can raise the money to save the future talent of the club? Running the Academy themselves as an NFP, with a percentage of future sales going back into running costs.
I will leave it for everyone else to arrange the detail.
