In what seems to be the season of title race excitement, there is one that stands out as the most brutal of them all. In the Women's Championship - the second tier of English football - just one team are promoted to the WSL from five contenders.

Rowett is the man to sav eour season, he isn't the man to take us forward. So while i am delighted he is back, don't want him beyond the end of the seaon however successful he is.

Why can't you believe you have to back Gary Rowett?
This is place is effing mad
Two bits of good news, GR is back and no Thongs for two months.
I’ve not seen anyone welcome the DvB back yet so I thought I would be the decent human being and welcome him back to our fantastic club.
8 games then do one
That’s all you’re having.
Radio silence on this issue from me as I’m aware my extensive influence may cause further dramas.

Morning - he’s here now, regardless of what we think. I can’t believe I’m having to back Gary Rowett but that’s life.
With everyone immediately jumping to the ‘he’ll make us hard to beat’ narrative, where do we think we’ll end up?
I don’t see it as being as comfortable but think we’ll finish 20th. Only the Norwich game will be the game with nothing to play for.
What say you?
From my first game in 1994 until we won the cup in 2011 we had 4 managers.
4 managers in 17 years.
What a circus it's been since then.
I think Watford were the glaring one.
Can anyone beat Juke's eight years at one club, beginning and ending his tenure with the same, returning manager but 13 managers in between?
That's the one that might be unique, given the returning manager aspect.
EDIT - assuming Juke doesn't get another playing contract and Rowett doesn't fall out of a hot air balloon between now and the 4th May.
Big Eck jumped ship in June 2011 (154 months ago). Since then we've had 19 managers by my count (and with a little help from wikipedia):
Hughton
Clark
Beale (caretaker)
Rowett
Zola
Redknapp
Carsley (caretaker)
Cotterill
Monk
Clotet
Spooner (caretaker)
Karanka
Bowyer
Eustace
Rooney
Spooner (caretaker)
Mowbray
Venus (sort of caretaker)
Rowett
That averages out at 8 months per manager, even... Читать дальше...
Which is fine In the circumstances isn’t it. Probably need 3 wins from the next 8
Bordesley not Small Heath
During the Leeds game at home this season on that sunny day when it was buzzing in and around B9
i turned to my mate and said something like " You know what, after all these years i actually think the days of 'Typical Blues' could finally be coming to an end "" ( Such was my faith in new owners & delight that the chinese owners had gone )
I Wasn't expecting promotion ( or relegation) just a decent mid table, mid\lower table anxiety free season

To realise that Gary effing Rowett is the manager of Birmingham City FC again.
And for me anyway I don’t think Mowbray is coming back due to health reasons. That’s just me though reading between the lines. Venus etc.
In 2024 we we have Rowett as manager and have gone full circle in 10 years!
What clubs does this sort of stuff but us lol/
If you didn't laugh you would cry!
I’ll be honest I’m not Rowett’s biggest fan, but I can appreciate the effectiveness of his tactics.
The big issue I’m finding is Rowett enjoys quite a direct style of footballl, I’m happy to be proven wrong but I’m struggling to see players for us which can implement that.
My point isn’t to moan but to see who you think will show up and shut us up as fans in the next 8 games?
T Roberts, Laird, Hogan, and Dembele for me
