Clever doggy (16 replies)
Obviously she is the cleverest, loveliest dog on the planet and she’s been well-trained and so friendly everyone loves her.
Last week she started scratching and trying to bite her rear end. Mrs B said it looked red and sore so we took her to the vets. Antibiotics and painkiller/anti-inflammatories were prescribed and purchased.
The antibiotics could be disguised in her food but the painkillers had to be administered separately. This entailed getting a tablet to the back of her throat and getting her to swallow. She was not best pleased with this arrangement.
No matter how quietly we put her dish down on the work surface, she hears it and comes running to the kitchen door. Unfortunately she also recognises the sound of a tinfoil tablet pack being opened, so now she’s conflicted and mealtimes now consists of us looking behind sofas and under the bed.
Now if you don’t find that an fascinating, heartwarming story, then all I can say is you don’t have a heart.
