The back 3/ back 4 conundrum (5 replies)
If we play a back 4, it's clear that Longelo isn't a left back so Friend would have to play. We can then provide a bit more protection for the central 2 (less likely to be exposed in the channels) and Long looks solid in a 2.
Or do we play a three, where Longelo will play LWB. However, a back 3 of Long, Dean and Roberts terrifies me so surely Colin would have to move into the back 3, and even then the other side would be incredibly slow. Unlikely but surely Gordon would be the best option. If he does play a three, and presuming Colin will be in the back 3, who then plays RWB? Bacuna? Graham? Williams is injured I believe.
As usual, what a mess!
